Managing Anxiety and ADHD Through Martial Arts

Calm routines for busy minds.

Children who feel anxious and children with ADHD often benefit from the same things: clear structure, healthy movement and simple tools for calming down.

Structure

A predictable class removes uncertainty. Children know what will happen and what is expected of them.

Movement

Physical activity helps children release tension and restlessness. Many feel calmer after class.

Breathing

Slow breathing between drills gives children a tool they can use anywhere: before a test, at bedtime or when they feel overwhelmed.

Working together

Kung fu is not a treatment for anxiety or ADHD, and it works best alongside the guidance of your child's doctor. Speak with us before the first class so we understand your child's needs.
