Improved Flexibility and Mobility
Keeping young bodies supple, balanced and coordinated.
Young children are naturally flexible, but that flexibility fades without use. Kung fu helps children keep it and build balance and coordination along with it.
Stretching as routine
Every class includes stretching adjusted for each student. Children learn to stretch gently and consistently, never forcing a position.
Stances and balance
Traditional stances ask children to hold low, wide positions and shift weight with control. That builds strength in the legs and hips and improves balance.
Kicks and coordination
Kicking well requires flexibility, balance and timing together. Children practice slowly at first and gain speed only as control improves.
Safety first
Instructors watch each child's range and progress. Movements are taught with control so children improve safely.
